We make “I Did It!” moments such as this happen at TEC by using the power of horses to challenge people young and old with disabilities to build stronger minds, bodies, and spirits.

It’s a family affair for mom, Niki, and her young son, Samuel.  Both have Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy.  Samuel has a more severe case, which affects his ability to walk, run, jump, and play like other kids.  His dad, Andrew, shared that because of his therapy at TEC he has been able to strengthen his core muscle group and improve his balance enough that he has begun to run and jump.  Andrew also shared that his wife saw improvements in her core muscles, inner thighs, arms, and neck in ways that traditional exercises did not do.

Our programs are designed to meet the therapeutic needs of children and adults living with a wide range of physical, cognitive, neurological, and emotional disabilities, including but not limited to:

Through horse-related interaction and learned riding skills, participants of all ages and abilities can:
