Therapeutic riding provides improvement in the physical and mental health of people
with special needs. Benefits to Participants include:

  • Higher self-confidence 
  • Better balance/strength 
  • Improved emotional wellbeing

TEC offers the following activities to qualified participants:

                     

 

BASIC LESSON INFORMATION

Group Lessons are 1 hour and 15 minutes in duration with up to 4 riders at a lesson. A $25.00 deposit is required with the application to reserve a placement. This application deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the cost of lessons. Lesson costs are $200.00 for an eight week session.

Semi- Private Lessons are 45 minute lesson with 2 riders. A $35.00 is required with the application to reserve a placement. This application deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the cost of lessons. Lesson costs are $280.00 for an eight week session

The balance of payment is due by time of the first riding lesson.

We are sorry, but at this time private lessons are not available.

TEC REFUND POLICY

When a lesson slot is filled, that slot is held exclusively for that student. Because that slot is reserved and cannot be filled by any other participant, TEC has a policy of no refunds for lessons missed.

If TEC must cancel lessons, the cost of that particular lesson will be credited to the next session. Credits will be held for up to 2 sessions.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Dr. Brenda Churchill Therapeutic Equestrian Center Scholarship Fund
(A Fund of the Berrien Community Foundation)

Through the generosity of those who honor the memory of Dr. Brenda Churchill, a scholarship fund has been established for participants in the services of the Therapeutic Equestrian Center.

Partial scholarships and full grants will be awarded based on financial need, need for service, staff recommendation, and merit. If you are interested in applying, please contact the Therapeutic Equestrian Center office at (269) 429-0671 or email info@tecfarm.org.
